I was born in Oxnard, California on September 26, 1932,went to schools in the San Joaquin valley (Lindsay, porterville). Spent some time in the Navy and am a veteran of the Korean war. Went to the University of California at Berkeley and studied Chemistry. I graduated from the University of California in 1958.
I am a retired Chemist with over 30 years of chemical experience, mostly in the analytical field. I am actively engaged in backpacking, hiking, bicycling and working out a the local gym. I volunteer with the Forest Service and work at the Santa Barbara Ranger district headquarters in the Los Padres National Forest.
