Looks like a serious storm is heading our way. For us in the Bay Area, any 3-day sequence with no sun is a major damper (no pun intended), but this time it’s different. According to the Palo Alto Online, the U.S. Coast Guard has already cautioned Bay Area boaters to think twice before undocking. Keep ashore and seek high elevations seems to be the word to the wise.

Things will probably get hairy on the home front, too, with leaky roofs, clogged gutters and tree branches in close proximity to power lines that have been left unattended. If you have any concerns about the readiness of your home for winter, reach out to our home improvement Genies. Many potential problems can be resolved quickly and cost effectively, saving you a lot of time, money, and energy repairing any damages that can be easily avoided. GenieTown has a great article about roof inspection that can be found here. Some issues don’t even require a professional, and you can take care of them yourself. Learn more about gutter maintenance here.

Stay safe and dry.
