We’ve been getting great feedback about our new website from first-time visitors and existing GenieTown members alike. If you haven’t shared your thoughts with us, we’d love you to drop us a line and tell us how we may better serve your needs. We now have a good process to roll community input into our product roadmap and are super excited about how quickly we can plug the holes.
For example…
- Leonard told us that “I dig GenieTown Answers, but having to manually check if someone answered my question is a drag. Can you do something about it?” Yes, Leonard, we can. From now on, the owner of a posted question is automatically notified via email whenever an answer is appended to his or her question. We hope this will make getting answers on GenieTown easier, so if you have a question about a service you need, post one today.
- An anonymous person wrote that they’d like to know in advance how many Genies offered the service they needed in their area. We pulled up our collective sleeves and added counters next to each service category on our home page. BTW, if you have a service to offer and want to make some money, sign up with us today.
- Several customers told us they were confused with the way messages between them and their Genies were displayed. We took it to heart and replaced the individual messages with a single message thread for both sent and received messages, which looks like an instant messaging page.
- And, finally, another anonymous writer told us that our previous yellow search bar “looked like urine.” Well… we did something about that, too.
Getting community feedback is both humbling and rewarding, and, as I said earlier, we now have a solid way of acting on it. We’re waiting to hear from you.
