There are three key components to attracting customers on
GenieTown. Not coincidentally, these components all are including
in your rating score. I'll quickly summarize these three things
below.

By bdc , posted Mar 3, 2008 5:15:33 PM:

1.) Your profile - this is completely in your control. Some of
the most important things to do to be more appealing to customers
are to have a picture of yourself, have a good description of
your business, and to have some portfolio pictures to show some
of your previous work. having a portfolio picture will get you
featured on the front page. of course, making sure your service
area and categories are set correctly will make sure you are
available to the widest number of consumers

2.) your community participation - one way to increase your
rating before you receive any jobs reviews is to answer
questions (like this) and to contribute articles, which are also
feature on the front page. so write a guide about how what is
important when selecting a service in your category or even just
to share some experiences about how to make a job go smoothly or
... whatever you can think of... and send it to
info@genietown.com.

3.) your reviews - once you start doing jobs on GenieTown, you'll
receive reviews from the users you have worked with. while a good
profile helps attract peoples eye, and community content can show
your knowledge, customer reviews are often the critical
differentiator when customers have to decide between two Genies.
